How we approach every piece

Each watch that comes to the workshop is treated as an individual object with its own requirements. Before we commit to any scope of work, we spend time understanding what the piece needs — not what a standard procedure would apply to a category of watch.

For straightforward servicing, the process is familiar and we can give a clear indication of what to expect. For refinishing and restoration, the approach is more calibrated — we discuss what kind of result the owner is looking for and make sure the work we do moves toward that specific outcome.

Quality assurance is built into the process: timing machine checks, condition photography, and written scope for any project beyond standard scope. No watch leaves the workshop without a final review.

Watch Service & Regulation

A dependable service for hand-wound and automatic watches, covering a full clean of the movement, fresh lubrication, and careful regulation so the watch keeps steady time. Well suited to owners maintaining a daily piece in good condition, or reviving a watch that has been left unused. We provide an honest condition note and mention anything worth attending to in future — without pressure.

• Replacement of worn gaskets (crown seal, caseback)

Antique Restoration & Conservation

A respectful restoration for antique watches, balancing repair with conservation so that age and authenticity are preserved. The work may include hand-fabricating scarce parts, treating corrosion, conserving original dials, and returning the movement to reliable operation. Recommended for heirlooms and historically interesting pieces. Each project begins with a careful, unhurried assessment and a written explanation of the options — carried out over a timeline that suits the nature of delicate work.

• Corrosion treatment and stabilisation
• Original dial conservation (not replacement)
